We had a great time at our Stine family Thanksgiving, and LOVE Keri and Gregg's new house! After we ate the kids were out playing catch and enjoying the beautiful day.
It was such a privilege to get to photograph this family. They have been part of my life since before I started Kindergarten.....and believe me, that's a long time! They are a ton of fun, and we laughed through the whole shoot. I had to post a couple of the "outtakes" because they just cracked me up. I love you guys!
My friend Kim and her family came out for family photos late yesterday afternoon and these are a few of the shots we captured during the awesome Kansas sunset. Thank you Kim for the one of Mike and I together. That is SO rare!!!
Oh how I love making pictures of babies!!! Here are a few of my favorites from this session. Can you tell I love the close-ups??? Couldn't resist those amazing brown eyes!
Today at the rodeo at Ft. Scott they held a small induction ceremony for the latest group of new recruits. The official swearing in took place a few weeks ago in KC, but this was a very nice way to honor these young people who have sworn to protect our country. Needless to say, it was kind of emotional for a mom. Especially when I looked over and saw him saluting to the national anthem. Wow. That was a powerful moment for me. At the end of the ceremony a moment of silence was shared for the victims of the shootings at Ft. Hood and their families, followed by "Amazing Grace" playing on bagpipes. Something about that always gets to me, just like hearing "Taps."
