The wind and the weather were just right for burning off pasture today, so that is what we did. It's a time-consuming process, with a lot of time spent just watching and waiting, to make sure it doesn't get out of control, or burn something that you don't want burned. And with our track record where fires are concerned lately, we were not taking any chances. So of course I brought along my camera to help me pass the time and keep me entertained during the boring parts.
Some of these photos look a little extreme - that's because I've been playing with my new Topaz Adjust filter for Photoshop. As you can see, it can add some pretty WOW effects.

Very very cool shots! I especially like the second one! (PS, sorry if this is a duplicate comment, I was having issues signing in!)
ReplyDeleteLou...these are UNREAL girl. I love the one of the bull (or cow) Your PP is so amazing. I would love to know what you did.
ReplyDeleteWow, Lou! These are so cool--I love the glimpse of country life we get through your photos. That Topaz Adjust really wow-ed these up. Love the shot down the barbed wire fence, with the burned area in the background. And the cow--holy smokes! The texture of its coat is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe cow and the last one of the fire are my faves. I like the Topaz effect!
